If God began to evolve with the evolution of love, especially objectless love *(in spite of existing in all times after becoming a real entity), and God is all merciful, God's will is what most assists all sentient life - if free will is a thing in part because Omnipotence is only symbolically real.  If God has always existed, and is all merciful, God could have raised sentient life forms so that they choose the good over the bad 100% of the time. Even if they have free will. Free will continues to be free will even without selfish emotions. Just as a human parent that does a good job raising hir child raises a child that sins less than one raised by a bad parent, God as the ultimate good parent if capable of anything could have raised humanity to be selfless, yet free. If ghosts exist, it stands to reason that some would be older than others, perhaps involving an immortal hierarchy of animals and humanoids.  Surah 78 in English: A line is drawn in the sand at (the top of the one) 18. The Surah begins discussing the fate of paired humans. Presumably romantic partners. The horn is blown, signaling the appointed time, in Verse 18. The transgressors remain in hell for "ages". I detect symbolism: for picking the wrong ages, below 18. 78:33 And full breasted [companions] of equal age. 33 degrees of Freemasonry symbolize initiatory completion. The reward for obedience is full breasted women of appropriate age - 18 or above. It is true that the Surah is about Judgement Day, when the actual symbolism will be finalized. But I suspect it is intended to standardize 18 as the age of consent within Islam, and to point out the worst offenders in hell at the End of Days are age offenders. 

 The tenth commandment is not to covet, which means want what you do not have - but others do too have. It would not be a problem to desire what you yourself have. You have it. If you only desire what you yourself have, you exist in a state of satisfaction. You do not have to cause trouble for others to feel satisfied. If desire is rooted in dopamine, transcending desire may merely require minimizing dopamine levels.  Dopamine has been linked to extroverted personality, which seems to me to connect it with pride. I also suspect most people who have taken potent dopamine stimulants, such as cocaine, meth, and heroin, have experienced an increase in impulsiveness and a boost in pride. Numbers 12:3...

 The seven churches are in a place called Asia. Ch 2 Verse 7 says, "To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." The Tree of Life is the chakra system of the Kabbalah, wherein the 7th sphere symbolizes love. I believe that what is in the heart amounts to one's spiritual side, and so what "church" one belongs to. The fruit being offered is also love, in terms of quantity of love driven retention, as the reward for good deeds in "heaven".  I suspect that the seven churches are in a place called Asia after the continent where modern mysticism is most prominent symbolizes that they are supposed to be ready for an awakening to mystical understanding of the scriptures.  The Church in Ephesus is complimented for failing those that actually deserve to be failed, but also criticized for forsaking their "first love." If the Book was intended from the start to be a mystical text, why was it not more obvious about this feature? I suspect that ethical awareness is relatively new in terms of our evolutionary history as a species. In the beginning, there may have been immortal amoral prophets that could have felt threatened by the prospect of the evolution of fairness and impersonal cosmic law. To prevent them from enclosing justice before it began, they could have been given the opportunity to project superstition and a magic show wherein the socially absorbed text made the general populous easier to control.  The Book provides humanity a fair totem in God, even if God is at first understood to be something superstitious which does not actually exist. Because of the monotheistic (and other spiritual) traditions, even non believers socially absorb from the cultural majority a moral instinct toward fairness. When interpreting the Bible, it may assist to reflect on that the ten commandments were written in stone. This means that during the early history of the spiritual tradition of Judaism, the ten commandments would have been the exact most difficult verses to distort by accident, forge, or lose to the passing of time.  Any Bible verse which seems to contradict the ten commandments is probably misunderstood, a forgery, or an accidental textual copyist's error.  The first commandment, to have no other gods before God, would seem to me to mean that one's efforts and obedience should first and foremost be to the God of the Book, an all merciful, all loving, perfect God: meaning, one's actions should always be the most merciful by the whole. Throughout the Book, pride is labeled as a sin, something to be avoided and transcended. The primary goal, as far as I'm aware, of most forms of modern mysticism is the transcendence of the ego. Pride is the fuel source of the ego. The Book demands faith over knowledge. Faith to my mind is necessary to transcend the ego, because when reason is motivated by pride, there is a need to know that when not met induces insecurity and the potential for computational errors. Pride seems to feed on certainty because uncertain territory could have hid predators, inspiring the evolutionary ancestors of modern men to take survival advantage from fear of the dark.  The problem comes when faith is defined as belief without evidence. The chapter of the Old Testament that I consider to most reveal the identity of God is Genesis 32. Jacob wrestles with a man alone until daybreak, when he receives the name Israel. Jacob's first born son is given the coat of many colors, the sun is the source of all colors. After receiving this symbol of his inheritance, he is put in charge of every rank in Egypt with the exception of Pharaoh's own throne - by Pharaoh. Pharaoh and Ra were in charge of ancient Egypt, first place within the hierarchy. Ra symbolized the sun. Jacob was given a name that included the word "ra" for defeating himself at daybreak - when the sun appears. Bear with me if it seems implausible an ancient Hebrew prophesy could have English words, because it seems probable to me that if it were a real prophesy it might take into account instances when it would be correctly interpreted, in the future, in English.
